The only thing out of
the ordinary this week was taking Lisa to the doctor. I don’t like it very
much. I feel like I am being tested, and I feel like I fail too often. Lisa is
very small, this time she is in the 2nd %tile. The doctor keeps
telling me not to worry; she says that I am small and that I can’t expect a
huge baby. She also says that Lisa is particularly active (you would know if
you have seen Baby Lisa in action). We go to a practice with a lot of doctors
and I don’t mind for any of them in particular, the doctor who saw Lisa this
time doesn't know Mike. She told me “surprisingly enough Lisa is thin but tall,
how tall is her dad?” I guess she was picturing a Mexican dad ha-ha! Anyway, no
matter how many times she says not to worry, I do. Baby Lisa is also teething,
so eating and sleeping has been so hard; she even lost some weight this week. My baby is never fussy, so it really breaks my
heart to see her miserable. We have tried everything. Ice cubes, frozen breast
milk, toy to chew. Maybe I‘ll try one of those amber necklaces. Any teething or
weight gain tips are welcome.
We had a terrible
week, so I didn't take any pictures, just these ones with my phone. Lisa loves
avocado and pears.
That is it for our
week. Mike keeps working 60 to 70 hours a week.He has one semester of his masters degree under his belt. I am practicing driving with my
neighbor again. I don’t see myself driving really. I am so scared, but at least
I am trying. Driving school is too expensive.
